Bravery knows no bounds. Mr. Byrne a homeless from Dublin risked his life by jumping into the freezing cold river to save his companion rabbit and waited for up to forty-five minutes for emergency services to rescue them. His friend was victim of an attack by a hateful 18 years boy. On a particular evening a teenager idiot decides to commit a horrible act of animal cruelty by stealing the rabbit and tossing in into the river. It happens last year and it was not very noticed around the world :( Both were saved and the story was covered by the Irish media last year. Mr. Byrne received the ‘Compassionate Citizen Award’.
